At least the BIOS recognises it but basically it is failing to load the operating system. This could mean that that you have a corrupt MBR (master boot record) which is fixable or your hard disk is physically damaged which is not fixable.
You'll need to find someone with a computer and put your hard drive into their PC (as a slave device) to see if your disk is readable.
Get them to download Testdisk and see if it can scan your hard drive.

may be its cmos problem...First remove the button Type battery placed on the motherboard of ur PC . Start it without the battery ...Load the Default settings and shut it down. Place back the battery and then noticed whether its showing the disk model no. correctly or not.
Otherwise Make it slave or keep it primary but on another IDE slot. Also check the cable u ve inserted is placed correctly on same side and same position as the motherboard wants to be plugged to run devices correctly. i think the cable placed on the slot is incorrectly. Try slotting it reversibly or alternately to the other hand side.

Hi Dude,
Just open the CPU and check the bus ( Hard disk data cable ) remove it and then connect it to hard disk and mother board again carefully and also check power cable which connects Hard disk and then close the CPU cover and then start the computer. It should work, If not then you have to replace your Hard disk with new one... that's it.

1. Set up your Hard Disk regarding Master/Slave Jumpers.
(Only for IDE Hard Disks, not for SATA)
2. Clear your CMOS using the CLEAR CMOS JUMPER on your Motherboard.
3. Configure your CMOS correctly.
Again your problem exists, re-install your copy of Windows.
(Must do FORMATTING & PARTITION)
Further your problem exists, change your Hard Disk.

Get to a recovery console and try to run fixmbr and fixboot. After that, reboot and see if Windows will boot. If it won't you might want to try to do a repair on Windows. Put your CD and boot to it like you are installing Windows but when the options come up to install, hit R to do a repair. DON'T do an install just yet. If the repair fails, then format and do a reinstall but know you will lose all your data if you format.
