TOP 5
1. Can You Feel the Love Tonight - there were three persons involved in the song. (1) The songwriter, (2) wide-eyed wanderer/restless warrior/star-crossed voyager (all were the same), and (3) the person the song is being sung to. The story of this song is that the third person or the one this song is dedicated to was away with the other two. The first and the second person is together and the whole message of this wonderful song is that wherever the third person may go, it is love where they find each other and made them feel together forever. I doubt the third person died because of that "wild outdoors" on the third line of the second stanza. I can feel it's a family and there was a father and a son, but the mother had passed away.
2. Kissing You by Des'ree - such song for a lover who's very challenge in finding and expecting love. Des'ree's voice quality in this song is really awesome.
3. Angel by Sarah Mclachlan - such song to express someone (or even yourself) on the way he/she/you comforts your soul when drastic things occured.
4. Bridge Over Troubled Water - I don't know how to categorize this whether this song is a sad song or a classic one. A 60% sad song because of its melody and the way it sounded. The metaphor here is that the songwriter is the "bridge" and the person this song is being sung to is the "water". By expressing out that the "water" is a "troubled water" and in our normal view of a bridge (that the bridge never leaves even the water flows so hard), I conclude that it is a story about friendship, love and loyalty, that whatever is the problem of a friend (the song is being sung to) the songwriter tries to remind that he's always beside him/her and will never leave.
5. Power of Two - uh well... I can reminisce a lot while hearing this song, especially the way I did to relate to this world with someone beside me.
