I think that when you die, you simply cease to exist. You didn't exist before you were born, so once you are dead this happens again.

I disagree. Just because you did not exist before you were born, does not mean that you will not live after you die. That might be a logical assumption, but it is still an assumption. Outside of religious beliefs, I never saw the logic of life in the universe just being born for a little while, then perishing. I'm not talking about God creating the world; even if God did not exist and all of this came into being by accident or luck, or whatever. What purpose would it serve to be born then die, leaving nothing behind? I think nature itself would have a better plan.

Disagree. Your soul exists in Heaven before the body is born and after death your soul returns to God. The answers you are looking for lie in religion.

I disagree. I think when you die that your body ceases to exist but your soul survives.

Well, I sort of agree. I mean its almost like life is this light bulb and it burns until one day the filament simply breaks and the bulb no longer gives light. So, the bulb is burned out, dead or used up and replaced by a new one, hopefully more energy efficient.

A hypothesis (from Greek ὑπόθεσις) consists either of a suggested explanation for a phenomenon or of a reasoned proposal suggesting a possible correlation between multiple phenomena. Since you are postulating a hypothesis, I disagree with your theory.

I agree although need to qualify the 'You didn't exist before you were born' bit

Evidence shows that conscienceless develops 6 weeks before birth.

This is the life - it is not a rehearsal - Live it and live it good.

The 'self' is gone. The rest of you rots and stinks up the joint. So as it turns out, you arent so easy to get rid of after you die.
