you don't really have to know when your last period was but it might take longer to get a due date for you and how far along you are. you will have to wait for an ultrasound to be done and they will measure about how big the baby is and then it will tell you how far along you are and when you are due. Good luck and Congratulations!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. At your first appt, they can do an ultrasound that will measure the baby's development. It will give them an estimate of how old (how many weeks) the baby is. They do this based on the average measurements for your baby's development. Even though my last period started on a Monday, my due date was about 4 days later than based on baby's measurements.

They give you an estimate of your due date based on your period, but they should estimate based on your day of ovulation -- which varies from woman to woman (NOT ALWAYS day 14/15).

You will be fine and CONGRATULATIONS!!

Don't worry about it. They will go by the first ultrasound since you don't remember the date. After you have the baby, you might want to get a small calendar and start keeping track of your periods. It's helpful for many reasons.

I didn't know either with my second. And my periods were still irregular after my first baby anyway. If you're not sure just tell the Doctor's the approximate date and they'll estimate your due date from measuring the size of the baby.

There's no way to tell if you can't remember, but it's ok. The doctor will want to know about when it was, you can just estimate and they will figure the due date from there.

Later on, if you get an ultrasound, they sometimes can date the pregnancy more accurately that way.

Congrats!

don't worry about it, when you have your first scan they will date your pregnancy for you! using your period is only a rough guide as it really depends on when you ovulated... so try to relax!

Don't worry, your midwife will be able to work it out for you, or when you go for your scan they can work it out from the size of the foetus.
