I know how you are feeling because this is how it is for me at the end of my pregnancies. All I can suggest is to find a position that is comfortable to sit or lay down in, or perhaps try to get the baby to change positions by moving or rocking back and forth.
Have you tried sitting on a birthing ball? That provided a little bit of relief for me. Also, soaking in warm baths was relaxing and relieved the pressure/pain. Getting on your hands and knees can help, too.
Bring a pillow (or even better a hemmorroidal pillow) to work to sit on in your chair.

you are almost there. if you can find time to rest at work, please do. Put a pillow at your back and make sure it suits you. A soft touch at your back from your partner will help ease out the pain, and lots of understanding with what you are going through. The pain will be gone when you see your baby, and you will realized it was worth all the pain. The cute little angel is excited to feel your warmth and having him/her at your arms is the greatest miracle, because motherhood becomes the real you. It's a wonderful gift. Treasure it.

Are you capable of going on maternity leave? If so I would definantly do that or get a pillow to help support your butt and back. When you're at home get on all fours and bend on a pillow or something to see if that helps if not try a hot bath or warm compress.
Keep hanging in there you don't have much more time. I'm currently 36 weeks pregnant and know how you're feeling to a certain degree (I'm currently not working though).

firstly i have total sympathy for you! i went through that in my first pregnancy and just could not get comfortable no matter what i did... i did get a little ease my getting on to all fours and rocking back and forth, I couldn't do this for long but found it helped. i would also suggest that you get a maternity support belt, it fits under your bump and kind of lifts it a little and gives support which eases the pressure your feeling both up front and on your back! good luck!

how about one of those big birthing balls to sit on or go to the swimming pool and let hte water take the weight.
It's not long now but it seems like forever doesnt it?
Sometimes rocking your hips can relieve some of the pain.
If the baby is engaged though, that's a very good sign, good luck.

Welcome to the world of pregnancy. Try to find a comfrtable position. Unfortunately, the longer you go through pregnancy the more uncomfortable you get. The baby is getting bigger and stronger. But just hold out, your precious little one is almost here. Before you know it, she will be here and you will know all you went through was worth every bit of uncomfort.

When you're at home, get down on all fours and put your bum in the air (if your other half isn't around, otherwise he'll be thinking he's getting some:), that's what I did. And don't let it get to you too much, you're nearly there!!

you need to talk to your midwife or primary caregiver. in my experience its very uncomfortable- but not painful. can i also suggest giving up work, having a baby will turn your life upside down, you need to be prepared and well rested.
