When you say "Aliens", I can take that word to mean two things: "alien" in the sense that it is life that has evolved on another planet besides Earth, in which case it could come more forms than I could possibly contemplate.

The other "alien", when we mean alien technological civilisations, is also open to a world of possibilities. We only have ourselves to go on, but convergence in Earth biology teaches us that nature likes to use the same designs over and over again, simply because they work best. For example, sharks and dolphins are completely separate species, but they look very similar. This is because their body shape is best suited for life as a fast moving predator in the sea.

Similarly, perhaps standing upright, or at least having a posture which allows for the free use of hands, might well be a common solution for creatures that might evolve into technological beings like us. I would not be surprised to see aliens that look ostensibly very similar to use, at least in terms of being bipedal and having manipulating hands for operating tools.

Aliens do exist.
They could look like anything you could imagine.
They would likely be based on some sort of DNA not much different than ours.
They would probably be some where between 2 and 10 feet tall.and not much,up or down from 200 lbs in weight.
They would have have developed speech and would see in the range of light that we do.
They would probably parallel us closely in intelligence and technology and have all the virtues and failures that we do,wars etc.
Their individual life spans could be in a range of 50 to 200 years.
Their species is probably short lived, once they become technological, like us probably between 300 to 500 years.
We will never meet one or even contact them but they do exist.

Well, anything really. I mean, it has recently been suggested that they wouldn't even be made of carbon and water, like we are. Silicon (which is in sand etc.) could be used instead of carbon, because , like carbon, it can form long chains. However, many of the bonds it forms are unstable, and would spontaniously ignite at room temperature. For these reasons a cold planet would be more likely to harbour silicon-based life than a warm one.
Some scientists suggest strange creatures made of gas, that use enzymes ability to move in and out of a gas to get water, and move amino acids etc. around. HOwever, this type of life would need a simple metabolism that did not depend on large molecules.
Instead of water, life on other planets may have evolved to use sulphuric acid, or hydrogen flouride. Though when water is added these substances are highly corrosive, on a planet without water, they would not be harmful at all.

All of this means that there could be life on Mars after all, because the Viking missions were only testing for carbon based life, like us.

Aliens could look like anything, but they are most likely to be some sort of bacterium.

Well I am about 4 minbis tall. That just over 6 feet in English. Two of my eyes are blue, but the one at the back is gold. You can't see it because I wear a wig. My sex organ is on my right shoulder if I am a female as you call them, and on the end of the finger if you are a male. On my planet you often see women being tapped on the shoulder for some reason. We live for 500 of your years and I have been here for 373 years. I live in the next street. Keep an eye out for me.

i believe that it is IMPOSSIBLE for their not to be no other life in the universe! i dont believe that we should call them aliens and presume that they are dumb and ugly as we do not know.... the earth is a tiny spec in the milkyway the milkyway is a spec in the universe! and people think that citys are big? we have no idea but i think it is impossible for earth to be the only planet with living beings on it! there probably are "aliens" and they are probably smarter than us and have been around much longer than us...... so nobody can tell you what they look like! for sure.... if they could and had a picture it would be front page huge letters bold writing major story INTERNATIONAL!!!!

well thats my theory.... what should i know im only 13! loool
