I agree, its should be a planet, because if it is then we need to count all of the other larger objects in the same belt. I quite like the name Eris for a planet though!

If it's too small, it's too small. At the end of the day this is easier than making all the other dwarf planets full planets (I mean, think of the little kids, nine was hard enough to learn, let alone more).

it should be left as a planet,we're already teaching it to kids in school anyway and also the little rhymes we made up to remember the names of the planet wont work without it

I don't agree with it. And I'm not going into my reason's cause some smart alec will come along and say 'You're not an astronomer - You have no idea!' Even if I am. Sorry for the rant!
