I do. It's a sensible way for a death to benefit the living. Just like stem cell research. The dead (frozen embryos NOT to be implanted for various reasons) can be used to the benefit of the living. Just makes good sense doesn't it?

wizjp; embryonic stem cells cannot be "done" in other ways. They hold the most promise.

Yes, it does. I'm an organ and tissue donor.
Seeing as how unwanted embryos are often tossed in the garbage, I have no problem with using them for further research to help desperately ill people.

I support organ donation, I carry a card; I don't even begin to equate the two.

One is a proven life saver for a specific individual in need who can be helped; the other is research that can be done in other fashions IMHO

Hold the most promise does not mean there aren't better ways to approach or deal with the material needed.

Yes, embryonic stem cell research should be federally funded.

Yes it makes great sense. If you think about all the lives that could be saved and improved after ones death, the answer is crystal-clear.

If used with good motives, yes. However, governments have used this in an evil way including the Chinese who have executed thousands to harvest their organs.

Of course the United States supports this policy since they want their multinationals to sell some shoddy Made in China goods for $1.03 at Wal-Mart.

Why not? When I am finished with them, if someone needs some of them they are welcome to them. I certainly won't be needing them. It seems a terrible waste to feed perfectly good organs to the worms when people need them to stay alive. If I ever need kidney or liver, I hope someone else would leave me his.

No, when you donate an organ, they turn around and sell it. If it was given to the recipient in the same spirit it was donated then i would change my mind.

Basically, when you donate an organ, you are either keeping a rich person or a welfare recipient alive.

I think if the person wants to donate his organs and they are health, then he should be able to do it.
