Example:

I was due to meet a friend today. But he cancelled giving me a rubbish excuse that he had a funeral to go to blah blah. Not the first time either.

Then i see him on MSN today, send him a message and he ignores me.

Am i right to feel angry about this?

Anger is a wasted emotion - it just means you were hurt by his actions - luckily you are a sensitive person who thinks of others feelings and wouldn't do that to another.
Don't waste your time on a so-called friend who doesn't care about your feelings.

You have the right to be angry, but anger is counterproductive. Only you suffer from the anger. It apparently doesn't bother him. Consider the source - he's done it to you before and he'll probably do it again. Next time you decide to meet him somewhere, tell him what time you'll be there and how long you'll wait. If he doesn't show up, just leave. If he shows up late and you've already left, maybe he'll be a little more considerate in the future.

Not worth it; that's a paltry thing to even consider getting angry over. Maybe mildly annoyed, but angry? No.

yes i think if someone decide not to keep a date or whatever they should just tell the truth . i would rather have the truth than find out they lied because then you might get hurt twice .

probably-maybe you should just forget him as a friend and find another-makes more sense than agonizing over one who is obviously not interested in maintaining a friendship with you.
