New starter, charged battery, new starter relay. I have taken off the belts, non binding, turned fly wheel, ok. Hooked everything back up, turn key it just clicks. I am at my wits end. The starter works off the truck but not hooked up. I have used a multi meter to check for breaks in the wires and they show good contacts. Help

Check battery cable connections, including ground. If it's a rebuilt starter, it could have "starter drag".And yes, you can get such a bad starter off the shelf at your auto parts store. It has happened to me. That's a condition where it turns by itself, but not with a load.Do you have a volt meter, the battery should measure about 12.5 volts. Try it with a jump start(with battery cables to another car). When the plates in your battery start to warp, their performance gets dicey.

Does it/Did it have an alarm at one point and time? If it did then this could be where your problem is. I would try to short across the "relay" just to make sure that I did not get a bad one. Like others have suggested if you are just checking the voltage then take the battery out and have it load tested at a local parts store (most provide it as a free service). If it still doesn't work after that use your volt meter to see if there is a voltage drop when you turn the key. If it is anything below 10.5-11 volts then you do have an issue. You say that it is clicking I assume that it is coming from the relay? Have you tried resetting the fuel shut-off switch?

Have your battery checked under a load. It may hold 12 volts normally, but if a cell is bad it will drop off down to 8 or less if it is internally broken. Most auto stores will test this for free.

How much resistance in the MAIN Battery Wire (Red one) ?

I had that occur to my car, the corrosion just creeped up the wire and increased the resistance to the point where there wasn't enough CURRENT to drive the motor......but the ohmmeter only measured about 1 to 3 ohms....THAT's ENOUGH !

Remember, those motors need 80 + amps to turn over.....
Try the headlight test during cranking.....
Worse thing could be your battery can't supply 80+ amps....

Has battery been tested for broken cells (can it hold a charge) and what about the alternator?

Other than that, a wiring issue?
