Not anything related to opinion, but a verifiable fact - or rather, a falsehood advanced as fact.
I have several candidates. I'm wondering what others' experiences are.
Thanks.

PS I have seen this phenomenon from both sides of the aisle, although I'm on the right and this question was prompted most recently by one or two particular instances.

Many about Jewish people .
The claim that they're in control of our media .
The claim that they control the USA .
(Sigh).. .. . and the claim that they are the ones responsible for Radical Islamists hatred . So stupid .
EDIT* - And lest I forget. .. . .Foolish people's claims that Conservatives on Yahoo Answers are paid to post . And that we only post 'talking points' from Foxnews . It exemplifies that Liberals don't look at us as people who think our own thoughts and have our own beliefs . They just simply cannot grasp the notion that people don't think the way they do .
EDIT* - Just remembered this one and it's goofy too . A user asked if Hillary would have McCain as her running mate . And it wasn't a joke , she had no idea that Hillary was a Dem and McCain was a Rep . Yikes !! And she has the right to VOTE !! Double Triple Quadruple YIKES !!!

That's a tough one, because there are so very many. Obviously answerer's are not obligated to research their facts, or even tell the truth for that matter.
I think many of them are not interested in a serious debate, but rather just participating in the ever growing sport of name calling, finger pointing, and bashing of any one who may have an opposing view. It's really sad. We have the tools to communicate with people around the world and this is what it amounts to.

It might be a bit inaccurate but it sure sounds true; that secretary of Veterans Affairs Jim Nicholson has become the major stock holder of a band-aid corporation. This corporations lobbyists are said to be the most influential in determining the outcome of most major legislation.

There are so many...
I'll list a few...
We invaded Iraq because of 911 and WMD (no other reason)
We are only there to steal their oil...
911 was an inside job..
Americans have lost rights with the patriot act.
If your not a woman who has been pregnant you have no valid opinion on abortion.
I'll list one more...it's a big one!
Only one party calls the other party names, but it's never the party of the the one saying it!!

Fuel fire can't melt steel.
Historical reference 9/11
Fact: Sherman used rail ties to create the tree bowtie during his march to the sea and wood burns at a lower temperature than fuel.
Fact: A Tanker fire in California caused a collapse of a Bridge because the steel buckeled and melted.

One of my favorites was that it was the overseas absentee ballots that caused the Democrats' victory last year.
Another was that a person living in Germany can't POSSIBLY log in to yahoo.com.
Yet another was that an American living in a foreign country can't still vote in U.S. elections.
These were all made by the same people, in this section.

Some Liberal Troll posing as a Conservative posted a claim yesterday that Al-Jazeera and CNN were owned by the same person. Sort of like the Tawna Brawley mess. If you make wild enough claims while posing as a member of the group you oppose, then you are able to tar that group as stupid or lying zealots, which is, of course, what Liberals are.
Guess what? His Questions and Answers are private.

I have seen so many examples from both sides in this area, but I think my personal favorite is every time someone posts that Bill Clinton did not commit any crimes, it was all just a right wing conspiracy.

When Liberals say they love the Troops in Iraq. If they did, they wouldn't go to Washington Memorial Hospital, and scream at them,
"You're maimed for a lie! You can't win!"
Quote, unquote.

All the loony conspiracies from both sides. Whether it be the inside job of 9/11 or the list of "murders" the Clintons are responsible for.

I'm going to have to go with the advanced falsehood that September 11, 2001 was an 'inside" job. Great question!
