If you are not an easy talker, is that because.....?

..........you dont want to express yourself through talking, or is that because you dont know how to say it all.....??

i don't like to waste my time forcing a conversation with someone. i tend to have only a few word to input into a conversation. this way you get to see what kind of a person they are before you reveal to much of yourself. most people really like to go on and on about themselves for some reason so i just sit back and listen.

I think sometimes verbally is just not your forte for expression. Some people express theirselves through art, or through the written form, I cook. I love to write but some times the verbal words escape me. Now give me a piece of paper and a pen and expression is no problem. I call it a brain fart. And sometimes I am shy around people I don't know. I had to work hard to get over it as a professional customer service person. So when I put on my uniform I also put on my "attitude" And I could laugh, joke and be helpful, informative and generally talkative, but that was my job. When the uniform came off so did the gift.

I express myself both by demonstrating and talking but I am shy to a point so I am not good at face to face talking but do well at email talking such as this. Actually, my best asset is writing how I feel as opposed to verbally saying it. Does this help and do you understand what I mean?

Sometimes, I find it tiring to talk because I'm a quiet person. I get my point across much better on paper.

i think a little of both. listening is easier so that in the end what you say will be more profound(maybe). we never know exactly the right thing to say. just be honest without hurting anyones feelings.

because some people don't have much to say. it is wiser for them to just shut up. because they know the nature of people to whom they are talking to.

You learn a little more about people when you shut up and pay attention.
