Im thinking of having a new pet because unfortunately our dog diead a couple of days ago

If you have the time for a new dog they are great but if your busy a lot then a cat would be better. They still want company but at their choosing. I like them both. I have a dog, bird and an outside cat who adopted us and is the coolest cat I have ever met. A bird needs less attention. If you can go to the pound for your pet.

Its basically your own choice. But fact wise, a dog proves to be a better pet than a cat. Dogs are strong, can rescue you from some dangers (catch or warn you abt a theif) and have a very strong smelling sense (300 times more than the human beings).Moreover,they possess memory almost that of a 2 yrs old human child.They can retain words and follow your directions.Cats never do that.
But still, its your own choice.

Sorry to hear of your dog passing on. But getting a new pet will depend on what YOU want. But since you had a dog, you already know what it takes so I'd say just get another dog. I myself have four cats and five dogs.

That depends. Dogs need more attention from you where cats are very independent animals and don't need as much. I'd say a cat, but it's your pet, you should get which ever one you want. Both are great pets.

If you will get a pet a cat or dog can be good, but its up to you. A dog is of course a mans best frined, loyal, a lifesaver.
And i do not know anything about cats.

Dogs and cats are both great. Cats are more independent and may not always come when you call them. However, they can be just as loving as most dogs. We currently have 2 dogs and 5 cats, and I love them all.

Sorry for your loss. I have both cats and a dog. Cats are easier to care for and they are more independent. They can be quite entertaining to watch when they're in their playful mood. Dogs to me are more like children. They need to be supervised (getting into garbage, chewing, getting outside), they need to be exercised and occupied, but they are very loyal and never seem to want to be anywhere other than where you are.

You can have more fun with a dog. Go to an animal shelter and save one, didn't you always want to break someone out of jail ? It's the next best thing.

I like cats better.I love dogs too but with cats you don't have to worry about getting home right away because they are more independent.
