A sociopath is probably the person you like more than any other. he knows exactly how to make you like him, trust him and believe in him. His specialty is making you believe in him more than yourself. They are genius liars and have severely stunted consciences. They believe, truly believe, that the world revolves around them. They will use you until you're no longer needed and then get rid of you in the most efficient way they can. This doens't always mean violence. Many sociopaths have found harmony in the world of fraud. A sociopath will only be violent when he or she knows they'll get away with it and it won't be too much work or trouble for them.

Psychopaths are often violent and are far less enjoyable to be around. (I think.. this definition is a little harder) . This is NOT THE SAME AS PSYCHOTIC. Psychotic is a totally different spectrum of behaviour and illness and rarely are psychotic people violent while psychopaths are often violent. A psychopath is usually a little weird to talk to if I remember correctly. Los are loners and have problems beyond a stunted conscience. Most have consciences and just can't help themselves.

A murderer is a person who kills purposefully and unnecessarily and can come in many lables depending on the killer's individual personality. People snap sometimes that doesn't make them automatically sociopaths or psychopaths. It could mean a number of things when a person kills. Battered wives have been up on murder charges but they are neither sociopaths or psychopaths as a rule.
