Because science is define as "the systematic and orderly arrangement of knowledge". And Philosophy and Logic are thoroughly systematized and thoroughly arranged that it is even more than science for it is classified as the ultimate of knowledge. In fact some Philosophers just classified Theology as just a branch of Philosophy. The main arranged philosophical logics are in the areas of Methaphysics, Morals, Epistemology and Methodology,

Philosophy used to be used to explain science. Now we have pure and applied sciences for that. Philosophy often aids science though. Many scientific organizations hire philosophers to help solve certain kinds of problems.
In cases of logic, it is far more scientific while in cases like epistomology or existentialism, it's far less rooted in the scientific method and far more interested in the humanities.
