I dont like "bag" resturants. Most those places pull their product out of a bag, heat it up, and then send it out on a plate. There is no cooking to be found there, and it takes little to no skill to train someone to be fast enough to plate these things up. Try going to one of the non-chain resturants, and eating some actual food that was cooked by actual people.
I try to eat at a new resturant, at least once a week. I find that these non-chains are usually cheaper, taste better, and have friendly wait staff. You just need to get out and explore. The higher up in fine dining you go the smaller the portions, but to be honest if you are eating fine dining the small portions come from there usually being 6-7 courses of dinner. Who could eat 6-7 plates of those bag resturants?

Olive garden is owned by the same people that owned taco bell, and Kentucky Fried so after seeing that video of the rats running around I would think that wasn't one of the best places to eat! The last time I ate at Fridays I ordered a salad with chicken and all I received was a salad with no chicken, and this really sucked! Don't ever send anything back because they will do something disgusting to your food before it is returned to you! They're all expensive, show me a place that isn't!

No I don't think the food is too small in portions or overpriced. I work at a Chili's and everytime I get a meal I have to take half of it home. As for the food quality I can't answer about the others but at this Chili's the food is tasty and cooked fresh each day. Our cooks come in at 8 a.m. each morning to make sure were ready by 11 a.m. to open. Many of our cooks have been there since it first opened 10 years ago and take pride in their work.

I agree with all that you said except for the appetizers at Fridays. Their nachos, pot stickers, skins, and wings are very good, and their bread sticks are some of the best that I've ever had. One thing with all of these restaurants is that the servers are very friendly and personable. They tend to have higher prices, but I don't agree that the portions are small, I think that they are very big. There is something to say about the attractiveness of a decent restaurant with a lot of people in it, rather than a good restaurant with no people in it.

It's mediocre unmemorable food, but the prices are in line for what they serve. The portions at those restaurants are huge! One plate of pasta could feed a family of four! I always have to get a box for it. (Try going to any non-chain restaurant around here and then you'll get over-priced small food!)

no, I read somewhere you could eat 5 hamburgers from fast food to equal one serving at Olive Garden. I'm diabetic and one lunch there almost sent me to the hospital for an IV, I would say it's enough...
