In the big picture and a biblical sense - I would say: Suicide. Creation is a beautiful thing and to destroy it is horrible. Let alone, destroy your one and only shot at life. But, then again, there are people out there who have lived full and wonderful lives contributing to society that are in too much pain to go on.
If we break it down and categorize it even further; in my opinion - crimes against children (sexual, physical and mental) are the most horrible - hands down!

I actually consider murdering a person's spirit to be worse than murdering their body. So, in my opinion, there are a variety of crimes that can be ultra sinful. Rape, abuse, molestation--all of them have the capacity to destroy a person's soul almost completely and to a point where it is beyond repair. In my mind, that's a tremendously grievous sin. Additionally, people who do those sorts of things frequently damage people so badly that they turn away from God when they previously had faith. That's a pretty big deal, too.

According to the famous author Dante, who wrote the book "Inferno," there are seven rings of Hell, one ring for each of the seven sins. He reserved the seventh and final ring for the ultimate sin, which he said was betrayal. He said the seventh ring was occupied by Brutus, Cassius, and a large demon. Brutus and Cassius were great friends of Julius Caesar. Julius Caesar thought them to be extremely loyal to him. Indeed, Brutus was extremely loyal to Caesar. Cassius, however, was not. Cassius convinced Brutus that Caesar was becoming too much of a dictator and would destroy Rome. There was only one thing that Brutus loved more than Caesar, and that was Rome. For the sake of Rome, Brutus agreed to help Cassius assasignate Julius Caesar. Brutus and Cassius did kill Caesar, and that became known as the Ultimate Betrayal. For that betrayal, Donte said that Brutus and Cassius were in the 7th ring of Hell to and were being slowly eaten alive by a giant demon. To me, honor, trust, and respect are extremely important. To lose any is the greatest sin.

The ultimate sin is pride...believing that yourself and your needs come before anyone else's...that's the basis of all sin.
