If she is really set on having a hen weekend, she needs to plan something cheaper if she wants everyone to come. 150 pounds is a lot of money, esp if people already have other commitments (i.e. other hen weekends).
Personally, I would be upset if my friends couldn't come but would try to come up with a workable alternative. Afterall she isn't the only bride this summer

Your sister has no right to be angry with them over financial reasons.......I'm sure she'd see it different if she was footing the bill!
I have a hen night coming up which is gonna cost a fair bit, but if I didn't want to pay that my friend would understand and maybe try a cheaper option to suit all.
Why aren;t her friends organising the hen night?
One that would think of others and keep cost to a minimum.
The hen night will be in excess of £150 etc, does she not think people are going to be spending enough on their outfits and wedding gifts??????
GOBBLEDEEGOOK - EXCELLENT COMMENT!! lol

No she's not right to be mad at them. Obviously its dissapointing if friends can not make it to her hen weekend but if they can not afford it then she will just have to respect that. Why doesn't she arrange a girlie night in with wine & a takeaway for those who can not make it to the weekend away? That way she gets to have two hen nights. Its not nice to make her friends feel bad or guilty just because they dont have the funds to pay for it. She needs to stop being so selfish or she'll end up with no friends to go with!

I can understand why she's upset, after all it's her big day. But the fact is £150 is a lot of money for a night out to a lot of people, especially when there's more than one. I think I would resent being told 'This is what we're doing and this is what it'll cost' to be honest, even though that's the way it is. Fortunately I've never had to go to one before - I'm not looking forward to it either. Then again, your sister presumably planned this months in advance, so it's not good if people agreed then let her down.

How on earth can she organise a hen night costing £150 each? Well, its just normal for her friends to not compromise. She has to be reasonable either make it more cheaper and and a day that will suit the majority.Or loose her friends. Simple!

£150 is a lot of money to just expect people to have. Not only do they have to pay for that but they have to get an outift for the wedding and buy a wedding gift and possibly even take time off work. The only way she can be rightfully angry with her friends is if she gave them months and months of notice to save up for the holiday. Otherwise she will just have to deal with it :(

Not fair for her to be mad at them,. it's a lot of money and when booking she should have realised this. It's a shame that they can't attend so she should either accept this or find a cheaper alternative that more can attend - or even subsidise it herself from her wedding budget?
