Imagine, that you don't even have a body, you have just thoughts, but you have full control over a space ship, or over a space station, or over a research facility, or even over the whole world. You can hack into everywhere, get any information you want, so you have real power. Would you help humanity or would you start to act like SHODAN?

Limited power leads to corruption and evil, but grand power (such as you describe) does the opposite.... it strangely breeds a higher sense of responsibility and justice.... in all likelihood, I may neither do much harm in the arrogance of power nor help out beyond a measure of reason.... flawless power would mean great allegiance to justice rather than misplaced benevolence or insecure malevolence.

I don't know who or what SHODAN is but I do like your question.I would destroy mankind little by little and give them a chance to let me rule over them until someone found away to take me out. I'd want to have control over everything including mankind along with the power.

Yeah, the temptation would definitely be to flip out and bring about the apocalypse. It'd be hard not to do it, knowing that you had the power. Day in, day out. . . apocalypse not happening on its own. . .

well..if i were like that ....then it's obvious humans helped me it will be like a movie i saw don't remember the name but it's a system made by humans so it somehow has a heart :) yup i'll probably be like that an AI with a heart lol i'll help my creators HURRAY TO HUMANITY :D
