705 Peers (Lord) in House of Lords

They used to have 430 and an election every seven years. Now its 646 and an election every 4 years. There are not enough seats to put them all on. They cost us an enormous amount in salaries and pensions. Margaret Thatcher hit upon the idea of increasing the number of ministers so more of them could earn more each. Then before they were thrown out of office for graft in the mid 1990's the Tories voted themselves enormous pay rises.

However many there are there are too many.

Whatever the number, remember they - New Labour scum -changed the boundaries to maintain a non-democratic majority. There certainly are a lot of 'Members'.
