Lately, I have been having extermly big blood clots during my mounthly. Sometimes the size of a foot ball other times the size bouncey ball. It's utterly painfull.
I was woundering the following:
Is there a reason besides heavy blood flow? Because it's not the heavy after the blood clot.
And
Is it normal for that to be happening?
Thanx.

Some people's blood clots easier than others, it is often a natural variation but sometimes can be a problem - I would see a doctor because treatment for the large clots could also make your periods lighter and less painful.

Considering your blood seems to clot a lot more than other people going to the doctor about this now is a good thing as being aware of your condition and seeking treatment for it may prevent you from suffering from more serious blood clotting related conditions as you get older.

If the test is negative and your flow is normal, it is highly unlikely that you are pregnant. Your blood thins during pregnancy so I doubt there would be any clotting. But I dont really even think what you are referring to are blood clots, anyway. Most women have only spotting or light flow during their pregnancy, not heavy or normal flow. So I would have to say you are not pregnant. But if you still want more proof, go to a clinic and have a blood test.

Clots are normal with the periods for some women because it has to do with the uterus trying to get rid of the lining it built up the rest of the month. Normal clot size is anything that is smaller than a quarter. Anything bigger than the size of a quarter requires an evaluation by your dr. One possibility that could be going on is that of fibroid tumors also called leiomyomas.

The dr will help you to try to figure out what could be causing these clots.

I highly doubt you've been having blood clots the size of a football, seeing as any blood clot larger than an egg is unusual, in which case you should see your doctor.

Please get checked to be on the safe side. Blood clots are pretty common but they can be a sign of something too. Your OBGYN should have something that may help with that. Take care.

You really need to go to the doctor to find out what is wrong. Clots any bigger than a lemon can indicate problems. Please go see a doctor - what you experiencing is not normal and there is probably something wrong.
