Well, provided Thanksgiving in the US was set by Congress in 1941 as occuring on the fourth Thursday in November (prior to this it was the last Thursday in November, then FDR set it as the second to the last in 1939), 1953 would have placed Thanksgiving on November 26th, both the fourth and last Thursday in November that year.

So November 26, 1953.

that is a real feeling ,when it was called thanksgiving one day.i cann't pay attention to which day it was.
