Any criminal complaint that is filled in the court has to be proved by the complainant beyond reasonable doubts, but in such cases of domestic violence the required evidence should be such that it can show & justify your complaint to the court, mere stating that your husband used slang language that caused mental torture will not be sufficient, there has to be some witness to such an incidence who can make a statement on oath in the court that the slang language was used by you husband in his presence. If you have such a witness then the court shall take cognizance of such a complaint & pass necessary relief to you. Other then such a witness if you can show to the court that such an act of your husband was sufficient for giving you mental or physical harm by way of medical report regarding such harms, still you can get benefit & the court can pass order in your favour. If you have no witness for the act of domestic violence against you & not even any medical report of any physical or mental harm, then I'm sorry your mere complaint will not be sufficient is such a case.

For how many years you are married? Within first seven years of marriage, laws are very strict as per my info.

Please get details of newly made laws which are in favour of ladies.
Try to record the conversation as a proof .
Try to put your cell connected to your parents if possible. Let them listen so that they can also help you to prove.

May be first time he may be given only 'SAMAZ' as we call it in hindi, but he may not dare to do it again then.
Please be very confident and make him realize that you are not going to bear it anymore.
