Yes usually. Especially when my grandfather is around. He makes us turn off cell phones, game devices, everything! He's superstitious and we can't even talk during storms because he says its rude to talk when god is talking (The thunder is God's voice)...There was a big storm here that lasted for at least 2 hours while we were at his house we had to stay quiet the entire time with no phones, games or anything. We couldn't even move! Its weird but we do it anyway♥

Haven't had that sort of storm here for yonks, but yes, if there's a lot of lightning around, everything electronic is disconnected at the plug. There's only the computers and the Teev.
Oh, and the sound system.
