Wabby, you have certainly been through a lot and unfortunately nothing we say can change your past.Hopefully you will find some encouragement from our words. No one goes through life alone unless they choose to. You did nothing to cause any of these tragic events so don't feel guilty because you survived them.Bad things happen to good people.Continue to find the courage to persue your dreams, believe in yourself and know that you are loved.Remember you are allowed to have emotions and to show them, share your feelings and join a support group. Congratulations on focusing your attention on an education and having goals.I hope you are able to find the peace you are looking for.Take care.

Get out now. You do not have to put up with this abuse. Have you heard of childhood emancipation?
Emancipation is not available in every state in the United States. Where it is available, emancipation is a legal process by which minors can attain legal adulthood before reaching the age at which they would normally be considered adults (this is called the “age of majority”). The rights granted to legally emancipated minors might include the ability to sign legally binding contracts, own property, and keep one’s own earnings. However, each state has different laws governing emancipation and some states simply have no law or legal process concerning emancipation. In states where minors wishing to become legally emancipated will have to break new legal ground.
You are entitled to talk to someone such as a school councillor, or a solicitor/lawyer and can break away from this emotionally crippling relationship! Do it now. Life is too short to live like this.

With all that you have been through, it seems schooling is the best thing to concentrate on.
In a way, talking out about things that concern you could be of some help, to get things off your chest.
The answers you get are from people, both male and female of different ages, who are trying to be helpful.
So take out of the replies what you need to go on in life.
At 17 you have a lot of life ahead of you, and in time these things will fade, but only if you let them

wow, sorry to hear all that. are you able to wait till your 18 and move out. try and get a job to save money and get your own place. any relitives to help out or live with them for a while to save or to stay for good. if you really want, a judge can get a place for you with relatives. i wish i could help more. i never went through all that but my mom was abusive. i learned to be rebellious which is not good, but it got me away from home. i would suggest calling an aunt or someone. hope it gets better. praying also helps, by the way. just ask for protection and guidance. He'll be there.

Well, for me you can only find real comfort in God. I know it can sound trite but it is the truth. There is not even one person on this planet that is perfect and will not hurt you or disappoint you at one time or another. That's reality and you know it better than anybody else. While God is so perfect, he can never disappoint you. He is always there for you and He always loves you. He is not helpless like we are but can do anything He wishes. His presence brings happiness that you can never otherwise experience. I don't really know why people are so afraid of turning to God. What are they going to lose if they try? To me, believing in God has been the most wonderful and life-changing experience ever and I wouldn't replace it with anybody's friendship.

I really think that should go with your school counselor and tell him/her just that, I understand is hard, but if you don't take actions right now to get professional help and support your life will never change. I wish you good luck!

life will go on. Just keep up the work in school and build up on that. Find a support group in your area. You won't need a parent or anything for something like that.
