I just don't understand why I should strive to get married when it seems that people just lose interest, lie to each other, take from each other, and don't care about the feelings of their spouse. all this cheating bickering and fighting is not worth giving my life to under Gods oath and it certainly isn't worth me waiting to have sex for even though I am a virgin now. does any one agree with me out there?

Marriage is a personal choice but let's be realistic here. No matter who you have a relationship with you are always going to have problems. It's how you grow and learn. What I see a lot more of is people not taking the time to really decide if the person is right for them. Marriage is a lot of work. You have to be able to affectively communicate with each other and have the ability to compromise and problems solve together. Having deep feelings for someone or even being good in bed together just isn't enough. Those are important but it's not what will makes a marriage last or even be able to get you through the ruff times. People also forget to be realistic about the problems they are having. Often justifying their own behaviors to suit their needs. It's human nature to do this but this is something you learn to be better at when you are in a marriage. That's if you want it to survive. It is also human nature to make mistakes and sometimes this results in hurting those we care about. Owning up to your part and taking responsibility are also characteristics that make a marriage strong.
It certainly is your choice as to whether you want to get married or not but I can testify to the fact that it is well worth it even when you have the tough times. Just be honest and talk about everything. If the other person has trouble doing this then beware.

Don't let other peoples bad marriages and relationships hinder what can be something beautiful and great! That's like me saying all men eventually cheat so why bother at all. It's very negative and not all marriages/relationships are like that. I have been with my boyfriend for almost 3 years, we have a great relationship and plan on getting married. I trust him and vice versa, we are madly in love and we can't keep our hands or attention off of eachother. It all depends on the man you pick. There are probably some men out there who feel the same way you do. Don't let one rotten apple spoil the bunch.

...Bcoz ur simply not like the others. By ur query, ur already conscious to be giving, caring, warm, & sensitive enough to fall for the same guy like u. How can u compare ur life & let go of ur values to other pple's problems ? Its a far comparison. It wld be sooo sad to miss the love that is very securing in this crazy world ! Given 4 Billion Men, i doubt there's not one out there for u. God wldnt want u to be sad but He'd wonder why u didnt c or wldnt want a happy marriage for urself ? (Probably, its not others, not God, but its just ur fear.. then u'll nvr know what it is to be Loved when sex is over-rated.)

Its easy to read all the stuff on here and get the impression that everyone is cheating, lying, fighting, etc...but I assure you this is far from the reality of all marriages...when people have problems in their marriages, they tend to reach out to others for help and advice and this happens to be one of those places...I have yet to see someone that is very happy in their marriage post a question saying "My marriage is perfect!! No problems here, thanks!!"...lol
Having said that...if you don't want to get married, thats your business...just didn't want you to get the wrong impression from the insanity on yahoo answers...Hope this helps!

Not ALL married couples are cheating or having problems....my marriage is absolutely wonderful because we are best friends and having a happy marriage is our number one priority.
I understand how you can be thinking those things....but realize that marriage is and can be a beautiful thing.

sex is great, have it please.....
people lie cheat all day all night, dont let that stop you from being in love. you have no control over what people want to think or do, but you do have control over yourself.. there are usually signs when a person lies or cheats, dont be naive.....

not all married coples cheat many marrages are good and solid and the ones that arent dont mean your marrage will be like that in my opion?
