We're not divorced, but the reason we've drifted is because the differences that were initially novel are now old news, and now we have nothing in common. We compete for power, bicker, and nitpick. After having kids this became worse. Much worse. And any form of intimacy suffered. A lot of people like us split up, some just turn the other cheek and suffer. What we'll do when the kids leave is anyone's guess. Then we'll have no common ground.
Just make sure you're self sufficient, and good luck.

Well....I built a very expensive landing pad in the back yard just incase he came back down from whatever the **** planet he was on and he didn't. Does that about answer your question? If it doesn't how about the lieing, cheating, stealing, drugs, etc?

Because I could never please her no matter what I did for example she always complained that I never talked to her during sex. So the next time I was having sex I picked up the phone and called her and she got all pissed off. I just couldn't win

He was emotionally/verbally/mentally abusive and was becoming more and more violent. I didn't stick around for him to start beating the crap out of me.

Because of his horrible, selfish parents; and because according to his mentality, no matter how wrong they are, he's NOT just supposed to rise against them. So, I just left him.
