Do The Best You Can With What You Have, can legitimately get And NEVER STOP TRYING.
An idea, well that's simple. All you have to do, is go and see someone who has few choices.
I don't mean the broke, as they can work to get some more.
I mean, people like. The Head Trauma Patients, at some of your major hospital establishments, I mean some of people in the Disabled Olympic Team.
If your an American,, a few yrs ago I heard of a Wheelchair Basketball Team from the U.S.A that was on a visit over here, and thinking about it.
I know, on what was a major Baseball Club in Sydney, they are closed now. They did have a weekly/monthly disabled player session.
If you wanted something to work around, go and see what some have to put up with and what they do.

Humanity's purpose is unknown. Each one of us is meant to decide our own purpose, because technically no one else is going to do it for us. My philosophy is not to dwell on topics I can't comprehend as a fallible being. It's hard to remember that we only have one life, and if we waste our time on questioning everything, then we waste the moments waiting for us in reality. Whether or not there is a god is of very little interest to me. No one will ever find proof to those questions, and I'm too busy enjoying the life I know I have to bother with something that may or may not be.

Without a Creator/God, there can be no such thing as a purpose.
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (famous mathematician, philosopher, Nobel Laureate and atheist)
Without God, all those other answerers can only give you ways to distract you from thinking about real meaning and real purpose. They focus on nothing else but how to get temporary feelings that have no basis in reality.

About the purpose of man's life, i think people sometimes forget that life is not about the end but about the journey, all the people you meet, places you visit, things you learn , will bring you more satisfaction that even knowing that at the end you'll go to heaven or anything similar, trust me, most people frustratre themselves to the point of unhappiness thinking that they might not go somewhere where they could be happier after they die(i.e. heaven).
My philosophy of life is to have my own philosophy of life, it sounds weird but if you think about it when you join a group whether religious, ideological, political, etc. you accept their philosophy as your own, and it feels great because unconsciously you feel like you belong, unfortunately when you have a doubt about that philosophy you try to suppress it because you feel that you threaten your chance to belong(that's why it's so difficult, or rather afflicting, to leave a religion); in my case i try not to associate myself with any group, i don't call myself a christian, or an american, or a liberal, or anything else, i feel that if i cathegorize myself by someone else's philosophy i lose my personality, even if it is by a small bit; i try to keep an open mind about everything, for example i consider the bible a great book of lessons (just like the koran, the book of mormon, or the torah) but not the ultimate truth, i think if you learn things by yourself, learn to question, and learn to accept everything as a chance to learn you'll be happier, and feel more complete, than if you guide yourself by one book only; "don't take pride on something that has been given to you(race, place of birth, etc.), but rather in something that you have accomplish.", i think that summarizes my philosophy of life.

The purpose of life is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
That is my philosophy.
