Is There any theme parks close by like up to 1hr away? Also What other things is there to do in Houston/Beaumont Texas?

Your best bet is the Kemah Boardwalk just a bit south of Houston. It's also right near Space Center Houston, so you get a two for one on fun.
Both are great places to visit, so plan accordingly.

We lost Astroworld/Waterworld a few years ago. However, if you like waterparks, try Splashtown in North Houston.
Kemah and Space Center Houston are fun, but for something more centrally located, try the Downtown Aquarium. It is a restaurant with a 500,000 gallon aquarium inside. They have amusement rides, aquatic exhibits, and white tigers. While downtown, try to catch an Astros game at Minute Maid Park, which is arguably one of the nicest baseball stadiums in the country.
If you like being outdoors, visit the Big Thicket National Preserve in Kountze, Texas. It's close to Beaumont and a great place to see local wildlife.
While staying in Beaumont, visit the Crockett Street complex. It has many restaurant and entertainment venues to enjoy.

Rent a boat large enough for a family outing or consider the water related sports since summer heat will begin to brown
