I don't see why it should, MLB dropped the ball by not making drug test mandatory, which led to the steroid abuse. Now they are trying to diffuse the bomb once it has gone off, instead of admitting that they made mistakes and move on.

I am sure that if you wanted to you can go back when steroids first came on the scene and find players that used them to enhance their careers then and even so now. Let's move on already I am tired of it being brought up.

As long as baseball continues to fail to seriously address this issue, it will be. Why hasn't MLB insisted on the release of the names involved in the plea bargain of that former Mets' employee who pleaded guilty to steriod distribution and named names in the guilty plea? Because MLB really doesn't want to know.
