Did they really kill off Walt? OMG! I can't believe it! Of course, this allows Johnny to eventually marry his true love, but doing that usually kills off a series, like Moonlighting, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, and Lois and Clark (yes, old series, I know). People want to see unrequited love! Is it really true? And they're making the evil Vice President into an okay guy now? I can't believe it. They're up to something here. Otherwise, it's a total departure from the book.

I don't know, but probably. I figured they'd go there. I stopped watching halfway through the second season, when they stopped using the book as source material.

Yes, they did kill him. I couldn't believe it either. It is a total departure from the book. But they can't make Greg Stillson a good guy. The last episode of the series will have to be Johnny getting killed trying to assassinate Stillson to block his run for President. They are bringing in a new sheriff the next episode. A female sheriff. I wonder if this is Johnny's new love interest. It may be the lack of confrontation in the show. Walt was on Johnny's side. Maybe they needed more conflict for his character. Stillson's advisor is still alive. He was injured, but alive. I liked Walt (Chris Bruno). I hate to see him go.

I was wondering if it was put on to catch someone else. They would have had to go all the way through and make it look real because of Johnny's ability. You know, in a couple of weeks, Walt will come back and explain everything, there will be anger and making up.

I gave up on the show a while back, but I'm sad to hear this. I always liked Walt, and thought Johnny and Whats-her-name were deadly dull.
