I graduated HS at a whopping 5'7", as tall as my little sis. Very not cool. My dad is 6 feet and his bros are even taller. Mom's side is shorter, all guys under 5'10" so I didn't know where I'd end up. After my sophmore year in college I was 6'2" and am now 6'3". My dad laughs and blames it on the Marlboros I smoked. Says I'd be 7 feet if it weren't for them. The predictions the Doc made when I was a kid was way off. I was always in the 50th percentile for height and he said I'd be average height about 5'10" or just under. Don't worry about it. There's nothing you can do but eat well and exercise to keep your bones strong. There is nothing magic about being tall.

I'm 5'8" and a full grown adult. Since you're 16, there is a good chance your body is still going to hit another growth spurt. However, if your parents aren't any taller, this may be your final height. Just make sure you're drinking a lot of milk and taking a multi-vitamin. This won't guarantee more height, but it will keep you healthy in these important development years, plus it's a good habit in general. If you do have some more growing left, these will help. In high school, height can seem like a big deal, but as an adult, it won't matter nearly as much. There are a lot of 5'8" guys in the world, and you'll even find that people of similar height gravitate towards each other in the workplace and become friends... which, in that scenario, you'll actually all feel like "average" height.

Your doctor will be the one to tell you how tall you'll grow.
But it all seems that you're very active in the athletic department and you have some strong genes, considering the height of your father & grandparents...
So you should be around 5'7 or taller most likely...
Don't get discouraged by your brother.
I heard it is normal for kids to have like 4 growth spurts in a lifetime...

Go to http://www.babycenter.com/calculators/heightpredictor. It asks you for a bunch of information and gives you a probability for your height at 18.
A good estimator is to find the difference between your parents' heights and divide by two. Boys usually grow to be a couple inches taller than this halfway mark, and girls are usually a little shorter that the halfway mark. There are always exceptions, of course, but it's a good way to guess.

When I was your age I was just about your size. Now I'm a shade under six feet. Grew four inches at 17. Sit tight kid, you'll get some size.

It's hard to guess which gene you took, if its your mom's, it will stay or grow only a little. But if you got your dad's and granpa's, you would probably go up where he is.
I know personally a kid that was 5'0 and was 6'2 in college now. We were like "Holy Fuck1ng ****, how did that happen???!?!?"
So, yeah.

There's no way of predicting just how tall you'll be when you're, say, 18 or so. Don't fret about it. Just let nature take its course.
