....stick to those beliefs, even if they are proven to be 100% wrong ? While liberals study various sources of information, come up with their beliefs based on the best available evidence and revise those beliefs when new evidence warrants such a change ?

I think you are right, for the most part at least. I can't even count how many times I have seen a question from a conservative that contains false information or some talking point they got from Rush that day, a load of rhetoric or crap that has no basis in fact.. And while I'm looking around the Internet for the facts to refute them, con after con is posting answers that all say "Hey yeah, what about that, those stupid liberals, blah blah blah blah blah..." Just agreeing with the questioner like there's no tomorrow, none of them bothering to question whether or not it's true, just cheerleading in the background. Then when you post something which proves that's it not true they can't line up to give you thumbs down fast enough. For them, party comes before truth, always. They don't question the stories, they just repeat them if they are useful to their agenda.

Well, a very interestingk quevstion...
Unfortunately, in the present atmosphere, it is too true. There seems to be an ongoing - support the pResident no matter what hE says or does... like a pack of lap dogs.
This is actually quite serious people. I pray you all begin to look into the depths of the real issue(s) going on. For example, a president who decides when and when NOT to obey the constitutional laws, and does a signing statement on those which actually do get through congress, because he "decides" he doesn't want to follow the laws... and, so much more.
The sheep simply follow the 'leader' to slaughter.

I really don't think you can generalize about either side like this.
There has been original conservative thought (eg supply side economics) and there has been evidence of liberals being stuck in certain mindsets (how many of our populations really understand ALL the issues on which they have opinions?
There is also plenty of evidence of people changing sides, and a great deal who are moderate or even conservative on some issues and not on others.
This is the sort of overgeneralization we see all too often - from both sides. Try to rise above it.

Can you come up with one explanation why it is that so many conservatives were staunchly opposed to the Supreme Court's decision Brown v. Board v. Educ. in 1954 and then they eventually realized that the Court had been correct, accepted the decision as a precedent that will not and should not be reversed? How on earth and where did you get the theory that when conservatives choose a belief, they stick to that belief "even [when] they are proven to be 100% wrong" ...? Who told you that? What kind of propagandist whispered that theory in your ear?

Stick to them? They parrot them endlessly if that is what you mean - but sticking to a belief means you follow and practice it. Their party has clearly shown belief's are merely slogans to hide what they are really up to.
The only thing this conservative party sticks with is the desire for power at any cost.

This grew to become into/is basically yet another divisive line and a question of semantics to furnish positioning or "conflict lines" to better mislead the known public. initially there grew to become into some quite contest on matters yet as we communicate those names are specifically used as hype. the present concern of Liberals giving the Conservatives their acclaim for investment to proceed the conflict grew to become into an occasion whilst till now Pelosi vowed to no longer do this. purely as President Bush wooed the Rapture Rights at Bob Jones college in Greenville, SC. early on in his marketing campaign to permit the "hoopla" to settle, (individuals have short political thoughts), so the Dems wish to have the dirt settle approximately this concern in the previous elections. they might have waited too late as a consequence.

Aldo G is a perfect example for your question: he writes:

"liberals blindly believe the religious doctrine of global warming without any question of its claims,"

I don't know, who are you going to believe on the issue, someone like Aldo, or 99% of the scientists and climatologists who have been studying global warming for many years.

I don't know, who are you going to believe....rush limbaugh, ann coulter, bill o'lielly, or the AP, NPR, Time Magazine, BBC...even Bob Woodward's book "State of Denial" is way more credible at least it's nonfiction.

that's got to be the most ridiculous thing i've ever heard.

you're right that a lot of people adopt their beliefs based on what their parents teach them, and they never question them because they form an identity based on those beliefs. doubting the lens through which they interpret the world essentially entails doubting their very self. that's uncomfortable to say the least.

most people, liberals and conservatives alike, adopt the perspective that benefits them, and makes sense to them. if anyone actually believes such a stupid reduction as stated in your question, then i fear for the future of the world.

Actually it is quite the opposite, for example Pres. Bush just tried to pass imigration legislation sponsored by liberals, and his own supporters have turned against him. Had your theory been correct the legislaion would have passed without any opposition. Liberals tend to believe that big government is what makes this country great. But conservatives are more for individual freedom (and thought) and believe that it is the people that make this country great. .

That's such a totally biased statement, and so incredibly extreme and false that it doesn't deserve a response. Anyway, I can only assume you are responding to the attack on Hillary, and other democrat's votes for the war. What's wrong is that they voted to go to war and now tell everyone that it is president Bush's war, and that they have nothing to do with it. That's not true, no matter what rose colored glasses you look through
