Catholism depicts that hell is full of demons as was the Dark ages. What I don't understand is that where did all these ideas come from, in the days of the caveman archaeologists have found cave drawings of what seem to be ufos or aliens just strange beings. Why in human history is there always strange things that we can't explain. In feudal Japan People wrote great tales of men slaying demons and other worldly creatures, what I don't understand is, is what is a Oni i figure that its a japaneneses (sorry about my typos) version of a demon. Dragons were do they come from all the cultures around the worlld say that they have seen a dragon before each culture met. I would like to know what is your opinion about this so in a short version "Why does humanity fear something that they don't know about?"( Before you answer plese note that im only 15 not a adult or professor.)

First off demons are a very real entity... They are the fallen angels...... And yes there was a great slaughter of their offspring that really happen on every part of this earth.... And when magic ruled the days here on this earth.. There exist and still exist a way to even slaughter a fallen angel..... yes times have change and people along with it but the true historical facts are that there are still plenty of fallen angels (demons) still around for all to see but people have forgotten how to deal with them... And if history does repeat itself the slaughtering of people and fallen angels will happen again..
And man-kind will be forced to remember the old way with Gods help once again...................................................................

Hey, don't be dissing on BSB, I had good memories attached to them : P It's always hard to tell, I'm pretty sure all those hair metal bands didn't expect their hair dos to be embarrassing now. Well, anyway, I think the new wave of metal (not nu metal) will have more attention. I've been noticing more attention towards metal bands and well as the growing indie scene. If I can define the 00's musically, I think the two standouts will be metal and indie. Well, indie isn't exactly a genre but you get what I mean.... I doubt the mainstream bands today will get much recognizing in the future, with the exception of Radiohead, Muse, Tool, White Stripes etc. But honestly, unless FOB really turn it around and do learn to play their instruments and do something original, I doubt they will be more than anything but the next N'Sync. Pop has a new face I guess. BTW Good Morning :0 )

I guess its a kind of survival instinct.
When dealing with the unknown, our imagination tends to take reins can go just about everywhere.
Our gut instinct is to react in a manner to keep ourselves safe, like walking faster in a dark unfamiliar territory.
However, to make ourselves feel better, we also come up with hero characters to enable us to deal with our fears. For example, if we are afraid of monsters, we would think of a heroic person who would come and slay the creature. Much like a parent reassuring a frightened child.

Not only humans are guilty of this. The claim of the elephants being afraid of the mice comes from the fact that the elepants will be startled if they spy something fast going behind them, something which they cannot see.

To be honest with you, I think some dragons have survived. Most legends start off with some historic truth. (Robin Hood was loosely based of a guy named Robyn Hoyd, for example) Demons are real too. SInce the beginning of time man has known about them. You can't explain them away by saying "the believe started from fear of dead people or fear of the dark" because the explanation fails to explain the fear of dead people (the most harmless people) or fear of the dark.

Who knows what people of the past have seen? There is no rhyme or reason, in my opinion, as to why they drew on the walls which relates to what we cannot prove. For all I know-they were trippin out on natural drugs and wine or whatever. I don't believe in any of it ... it is not part of present time ... I cannot prove it ... I have not seen it and I don't know anyone in history and up to this day that can prove me wrong! Show me fossils of a dragon, show me a ghoul/goblin/demon, show me a real UFO from another planet, show us all some living proof of such claims and my doubts may diminish ... that is all I have to say to all those that believe and/or made such claims from the past and present ........
