Check out the sites below. Unfortunately both parties have departed from their respective "original" platforms. The biggest difference that I've noticed in the two parties is the way they both aproach the "issues". For the most part Republicans favor less government involvement and less government spending. Democrats on the other hand want to create more government involvement and spend more money, I guess they think they can solve every problem by throwing money at it. The issue of Conservative vs. Liberal is much more complicated. Most conservatives favor reducing, not just limiting the role of the federal government, by size and spending. I have no idea what liberals stand for. I don't think they know either.

Democrats are liberals and Republicans are conservatives. That means Republicans are morally charged, as Democrats are into things like gay marrages and abortions. I personally am in between of the two, but i would say i lean more to the republican side.

But if you want to know the fields/subjects/topics upon which these political rivals have differences of opinion, that would call for an entire thesis !

They are all the same with some small differences of opinion and in the end they are all graduates of the school of lying.

Long story short

Republicans, take from the poor and give to the rich,
Democrats, take from the rich and give to the poor.

So for all us middle folk, It's like riding a bull, pick a side, hold on tight, and hope you don't get thrown.

republicans are extremely organized, cater to big business and special interests, and play the religion card perfectly. democrats are disorganized (how else do you lose 2 elections to dubya) and cater to the middle class and lower through entitlement programs. the modern stereotype is that republicans are big on defense, and democrats embrace personal freedoms and liberties.

I'll sum it up this way.

Republicans believe in equality of opportunity and liberty.

Democrats believe in equality of outcome and fairness.

There are none really...both are lying crooks. Neither values life, republicans have no problem raging war and destroying the earth, while the democrats have no problem supporting infanticide. Vote Independent!
