I quit worrying about who sickens me. Most that are big babies with a mind of a child and a butt of a beast can come here to make themselves known with their outlandish comments , remarks and down right stupid questions. Hell, if it werent for them who else would we have to alienate?

An interesting, polemical question (and no, I did not race to the thesaurus for the word "polemical" :P). I agree with Steve that a trip to the thesaurus is not a bad thing if you are looking to avoid repetition of a certain word, whose meaning you are looking to use twice in the same sentence or paragraph. As far as I'm concerned the thesaurus, just like the dictionary, is a tool to be used when it is needed. I understand the intent of your question, though. You are tying what is commonly called "purple prose" to thesaurus over-usage, an issue that is common to many who are just starting out writing. As far as I'm concerned this is all part of the learning process. As a writer matures he/she soon discovers that oftentimes "less is more", and they tend to leave the more flowery aspects of their writing behind. So does this style of writing sicken me? Not really, because I understand where it is coming from. And even now a writer with some experience will experiment with a different writing style (as I have done) and come out with something that is decidedly "purplish". And then various beta readers soon put this wayward writer (who, me?) back on the straight and narrow.

Those who are close minded and rude. Or who make racist comments to poke fun, and those who YES, are shallow. No one really in particular though.
