or down is it based on the answer or answerer? Cause I've seen quite a few LAME answers get a thumbs up and vice versa. Honestly, what do you guys base it on?

I don't like giving thumbs down for two reasons
One just because I disagree does not mean the persons point of view is invalid
Two if I give too many my computer slows down too much
I only give thumbs down to insulting and trolling answers
I like giving thumbs up to people who make me laugh or I agree with them an may not feel like typing my own answer

i base mine on the answer.....if it's thoughtful, provoking, appropriate, or gets a laugh outta me = thumbs up.
i'm wondering if many of the people around here give thumbs up when they see their friends' answers; thus, not basing the rating on the answer itself.

Sometimes opinion or sometimes people are just rude with racist or disrespectful crap that just belittles the person. But then again, I could give an answer to something like 'yeah i love it!' (I.E. do you like chocolate chip?) and suddenly I have 5 or 6 thumbs down. dumb.....

I think just like alot of idiots on here ask stupid questions they also give thumbs up to alot of idiotic answers..........and I am sure they will be giving me a thumbs down for this one............so hey guys-screw you I don't give a shi-!!
