what is your opinion on mainstream bands?

mainstream bands are over rated..... when bands reach that point of being on mtv and fuse they are being seen more as a massed produced image that the record labels put out that are worried about an repetitive image
while bands that are out of the mainstream are more focused on the music than their image which makes them more memorable...
I'm not saying all mainstream bands are more focused on fame than on the music...there are some bands that are amazing and have not let the money get to their heads

Mainstream bands to me are bands that everyone knows and everyone listens to. A group who's genre of music is the most popular at the time.

Most mainstream bands have been unnoticed by the media and the fans like that . When they become popular some fans from the begging stop listening maybe because they change overtime

I don't mind, but it sucks because a lot of the bands that are mainstream now, I knew when no one knew them.
Like, My Chemical Romance, PANIC! At The Disco, The Academy Is..., The All-American Rejects, OkGo, Cartel, Gym Class Heroes...bands like that.
I miss them smaller but I'm still proud of them nonetheless.
They deserve it.

There are many great bands that have a huge following.
Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Radiohead, Oasis, Muse... and the list goes on.
You should always judge a band based on whether or not you like their music--not by how big or small their fanbase is!

mOST SONGS THAT ARE WRITTEN SEEM TO BE FORCED, GREAT SONGS ARE THE ONES THAT HAVE A DIFFERENT FEELING ABOUT THEM CHECKOUT ANYTHING BY TWYCE DAILY AND YOU WILL HEAR WHAT I MEAN YOU JUST KNOW THESE SONGS ARE COMING FROM A DIFFERENT PLACE, FIND HIM ON MY SPACE
