no. when I was a kid my mother used to tell me that if I left my gum on the bedpost (her fancy furniture) overnight that it would turn into a worm. So I would chew my dull gum till I got to school and then put it under my desk or under my chair

Actually it develops more flavor. Sugar in the gum can crystallize to air and age and heat and yet you know the dust mites in the air will sit on your gum and play hop scotch with the bacteria that attract to your saliva on the gum. So by the time you put it back in your mouth... there is already a party going on on that piece of gum. ENJOY!

yes it does, and I re-claim it each and every morning. I have to chew the gum that has the flavor crystals in it though because otherwise, it wont last as long as the other brands

I guess my past life is over too.
None of the responses referred to the famous song popular
in the late 50's or early 60's. Either I am too tired (12:23 A.M. or too old (60) to remember the title and the name of the group who did the song, but I can still remember the words to the song.

no not at all!!
in fact when leave the gum out, the air makes the flavor come back, so when you leave it on your bedpost, it regains it flavors and it tastes good when you put it back in your mouth!!!!
trust me it really does work, try it some time!!!

Chewing gum is boring. The song is all right, but gum chewing as a topic?!? Not much.

I heard that if you put chewing gum in the freezer, it actually gets it's flavor back. I'll have to try that.

i found that it did so i stopped putting it on the bedpost overnight. Now i don't have a bedpost, so it is a mute point. Thanks for the grin, by the way. Haven't heard that song in YEARS. :)
