I just moved into a new home and I'm normally not afraid to sleep but I keep hearing noises or seeing things that I didn't think were there before. I haven't slept in a few days and it's starting to drive me crazy, I don't know what to do ): Oh yeah, I also have a bunch of spiders and bugs in the basement and that creeps me out too, I'm going to get spray and all but I'm so worried they're going to get me. Urgh!

Have a couple of drinks to relax until you get used to the new place. And I said just a couple, lol

Rest assured that there's nothing to be afraid of. What is there to harm you? The upper half of the question would seem like you would need a treatment to help you with. As for the fear of sleeping at night, it's all but your imagination. The loss of your friend may be part of the reason why your experiencing these. Losing someone is like losing yourself to death. Another lost soul strikes your own heart. When you sleep at night just tell yourself that nothing possibly scary can touch you. Hell, leave a night light on if you must. Another method is to joke about what's so scary. It might not be so scary after a few laughs. Best of luck to ya.

Get some double bolts on your doors and some motion sensor lights. Install a door alarm (the do-it-yourself kind). Get a nice novel (not a scary one!) and read it before bedtime to relax your mind and take your thoughts somewhere else.

Whenever I’m scared i read until i fall asleep. Sometimes i forget to turn off the light and in the morning my sister tells me that i didn't turn it off because i fell asleep reading. (Literally) But reading is my thing you don't have to listen to me. "Try out diffrent things until you find the right thing for you." That's my motto.

Hope this helps! Sweet Dreams! : )
