Given the opportunity, everyone with whom I come into contact can expand my mind. I had a three year old little girl do it last week when she looked into a koi pond and asked excitedly "What are they? Bunnies?" I had never seen that koi pond like she did. Life is such a grand adventure and looking at it through the eyes of a child brought it into new focus for me.

All things and all people expand my mind (it's just gonna pop one of these days), or in some way alter my perspective. Both positive and negative interactions with people (no matter how brief) often set me to thinking. That and anything from books to sounds, to seeing a flower on a gloomy day will also have that effect. If your mind is open, it will expand simply with everyday experience.

I have always wanted to really be able to "think outside the box." The person that makes me see things differently is my boyfriend, because his interests are so different from mine. We are similar emotionally, but very different in taste. Now I can sit through the sci-fi channel and at least be somewhat interested. And he watches all those horrible dating shows with me and just laughs.
