I need advice on how to replace the key cylinder. it is badly damage and needs to be replace.

yea, save yourself the trouble and take it to a mechanic. there are alot of things that could go wrong, its hard work and a lot of tools are involved.

I am not sure if you have the ignition cylinder/switch on the column or on the dash. Either way this is not a job for a rookie. If it's on the column you have to take off the column covers and do it that way. There are special tools to use as well. If it's on the dash, it is much easier to get it out as it's just regular screws and things. If the cylinder doesn't turn at all, you will also need a new ignition switch.

I believe you have to pull the steering wheel off and go in that way. But because of the airbag sitting there. I'd leave it to a pro

it can not be done there /there r two thin wires attached to it /those r your anti thief device,and if u do not get the new key reprogram to your computer it will not start tust me i know ted
