And who OWNS the American news media?

If we're talking TV (and much of radio) it's owned by those radical, left-wing, Christian-bashing, gay-lovin' communist sympathizers at Disney, Westinghouse and General Electric.

Above and beyond all else, the American news media shows a pro-business and pro-status quo bias. The news media is entirely too reliant on corporate press releases, government press releases and advertising dollars to be "liberal" or "left wing."

And if the BBC really is "biased towards the left" at least they don't spend the vast majority of their newscasts reporting on celebrity pregnancies, celebrity weddings, celebrity divorces and other crap that has absolutely NO effect on our lives.

Does anyone in America ever watch BBC?
BBC is about all i know of the news source, other than it isn't based in America.

but just because one non-American agency admits being biased, doesn't mean there is some vast liberal media conspiracy as you are trying to imply.

How many hours a day do you spend watching news??? get a job!
obviously, you are again stating inaccuracy, because a person can't even read every word of one newspaper every day let alone read them all, to know they all state the same thing!

BTW you should quit reading blogs, and perceiving them as news.

About 10% of Americans (the far left) think mainstream media is too conservative.
about 40% (liberals) think it isn't biased.
about 50 % (conservatives) think it's liberal.
I bet 10% of Americans (far right) even thinks Fox News is liberal!

It's all about your own perspective.

I watch both CNN & Fox to get the whole picture.

I can say this for the BBC, they are the most anti-Jewish, anti-Israel network on the planet next to Muslim stations!! And I can't think of a whole lot that they say decent about the United States either.

Haul it off the air, bunch of libs!!

Of course the libs would say it is not biased. The national news only gives the lib point of view, so it's not biased. The libs think FOX is biased and so they hate it for giving opposing viewpoints.
FOX rocks!

I consider myself to be a liberal and I feel that the mainstream news is biased. That kind of shoots your theory down.

It media IS biased--toward right-wing, neocon fascist ideology!

The BBC is much more decent than the US media propaganda machine, but that's not saying much.
