with a key chain in my pocket, no other anomalies, in Benjamin Franklin's experiment putting a key up to hang from the string of a kite in flight, does having keys in a pant pocket serve as a possible target for a lightning strike? a man with a golf club serves as a highly probable target, yet not always, if a life can be caused injury or death, maybe stay in the car

It's ALWAYS possible- but how LIKELY it is, depends upon how LUCKY you are... -And as Dirty Harry liked to ask; "Are you feeling LUCKY- hunk ?" Personally- I wouldn't push it. :)

With a key chain in your pocket, not likely, but if you feel your hair stand on end, that is an indication you might be struck by lightning, if that happens, crouch down on the tips of your feet and put your hands over your head, A man with a golf club in his hand is very likely to get hit, just ask Lee Trevino, how it felt.

Metal does not attract lightning, but is the most common form of material to get struck by it, seeing as it has the capability of being built to skyscraper heights without falling over, lightning tries to find the shortest path to ground, and Ben's kite was the highest object around, the key's purpose was to hold the electricity long enough to tell that it was in fact, electricity.

you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning then hitting the lottary jackpot. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want something that is hotter than the surface of the sun crashing down upon me at the speed of light. for your sake I hope you are a lucky one and not get struck.
