A friend asked me about this but I am clueless since I don't like that kind of music. He likes Metallica, Zepelin, Jimmy Hendrix... But he wants other different messages in that kind of music.
PLEASE leave jokes or stereotyping comments aside. I just want to know about some CHRISTIAN bands that play that sort of music.

The only decent christian guitarist I know of is Glen Schwartz aka "the White Hendrix." Once of Pacific Gas & Electric he now plays small, regular sessions in Cleveland. Wild guitar soloes, punctuated by rants at the whores who'd dance to his music. Classic music, classically surreal. I recommend anyone in Ohio come check him out.

Here is a clip of a mighty jam. Judge yourself

RED and haste the day are good
but alot of bands that say they're christian are actually not so do a little research before you bring it to a church thing or something cuz it may have a bad message hidden in there

God is just not metal...you have to learn to be able to handle criticism of your faith. Trust me, it will happen, but music is an expression of emotions and there are a LOT of people who have been burned by religion and find solace in metal's black bosom. You can learn to appreciate the other point of view...or just listen to dragonforce like everyone else and never expand your consciousness.
