No, He would've won a championship by now. If he was then he would've gotten passed the Spurs in '05,and this year and the Mavs last year because I thought they had the best team those last three series but he didn't so, no he isn't the best.

I'll go out on a limb and say it...

Steve Nash is the most OVERRATED player in the NBA right now. I dont know what it is. Are people desperate for a white superstar from N. America? So many people talk about him like he is a basketball immortal. He cant play defense what so ever. Im so perplexed by the sheer amount of people that believe he is playing in Phx with no talent around him, and he is just carrying the team to greatness. They have Amare, they have Shawn Marion, and they have a deep bench. Worst of all is the 'He makes everyone around him so much better' argument. If that was the case, and he is so good, he is the best...why havent the Suns done anything at all in the postseason??

Steve nash: is he the best individual player talent wise? No..no where close.
Is he performing the best ball under SUNS system? Yes.

If nash isnt the best in NBA he is right there. He's the one to make the team better but if u want him to 1 on 1 with some other player he can easily get outmatched.

Steve Nash is the best player in the NBA. He was the only guard this seasois to be among the league leaders in FG% and was in the top 3 for 3pt FG%. He can also drive and finish at the rim. We all know he is by far the best passer in the game. He's not the best defensive player but he can hold his own. His playmaking and shooting ability make Nash the best player in the game.

Honestly, Jason Kidd is a way better point guard.

After the finals Tony Parker had, I think he may have moved above Steve Nash.

Nash doesn't play defense very well and that's what he has to do to win titles.

Someone stated that he was among the league leaders in FG%, well Tony Parker has ranked up there for the last two seasons and he can also drive to the basket and finish at the rim.

He is definitely in the top 5 point guards, but not the best.

No. How is he the best? Just dribble the ball up and pass like crazy to become Steve Nash 2nd.

almost, probably in the top 5 most important players in the league right now. Phoenix is a top 4 team with him leading, and they sink to about 16th when he's out.

I'll say he's the best if Phoenix wins the whole thing next year, and he gets them back to the finals the following year.

Best PG of all time, no.
Best PG today, yes.

He had surpassed what his thin frame could allow him to do so stop calling him a defensive liability. What do you want him to do? Defend Shaq?

Defend Tony Parker? Well, even Eric Snow who is considered to be a good defender had his fits against Parker.

He is the best point guard and the reason the Suns will win in 2008.

Best Canadian player of all time! He's too flawed defensively to be considered the best player in the game. He's great, and fun to watch, but he just can't defend very well.
