I started working at McDonalds when I was 14. No ride in the park but it was a good learning experience and they will hire young people. Though the pay isnt great they are usually willing to give individuals PLENTY of hours. McDonalds would be a good start. Also try: serving is resturants that don't serve alcohol (ex. IHOP) GOOD LUCK!

Think about personalizing the job a little bit. Rather than entering an interview as a stranger, see if you can apply to work with someone you might know - a friend of Mom and Dad usually works well. If you need money badly, garage sales and the flea market are a great way to clear out clutter and make fast money doing it.

Try Wendy's. My brother started there when he was 14. Also, many of privately owned businesses hire 14 year old's.

Um i don't know the laws on your state, but what i do know is that it can be against child labor laws, so what you might wanna do (something that isn't so embarrassing) is start babysitting. You get paid by hour, not salary and its a good start for a teenager. But if you can start working, then go ahead and it would be best if you work for/with any relatives, or like you said, at McDonald's or Starbucks or anywhere like that would be fine if it's not illegal.

McDonald's won't take u because u have to be 15 or 16. Try babysitting or getting a job landscaping or on a farm. Mow lawns or start your own business.

All of the fast food places, and also a lot of the department stores. I got my first job at 14 and it was at a K-mart Store. I worked in the hardware department, putting out stock. Try that.

You're going to have to mow lawns around the neighborhood or start selling drugs because noone is going to hire a 14 year old to work. I think child labor laws forbid it.

How about babysitting? I would reccomend getting trained in CPR and first aid first. Then put an add in the paper advertising your services. I know there are a lot of parents out there that would hire you. Good luck!
