Okay, when I first started menstruating I had extremely regular cycles (like to the hour)...then in my late teens early twenties it started to become irregular...I wouldn't always get it every month. I went to the health center at school and they ordered all kinds of blood work. My doctor told me I was borderline on two tests-one with my thyroid.(One point away) She said that she just thought I wasn't ovulating. She acted like it was no big deal and since I was young and in no situation to even think of having kids I didn't worry about it. She put me on the pill to regulate my cycle. Now, years later, I stopped taking the pill. It took a couple months before I got my period again. Now it is irregualr again and I haven't had it in a couple of months. I'm married and am not trying to have kids right now...but how worried should I be?

Can getting dizzy have anything to do with your thyroid?....

I like how the doctor acts like it is no big deal. Many doctors did the same to me. Since your not trying to conceive at the moment they just brush you aside and tell you something like, 'it isn't a big deal' or 'it's normal for you'.
An irregular cycle is not normal for anyone. What you have isn't even secondary amenorrhea since you had been on birth control pills to regulate your cycle. It is quite likely that had you not been on the pill your cycles would of stayed messed up.
From personal experience I would suggest you see your doctor now. Even if you are not trying to conceive. Try to get this taken care of now. If you do want kids in the future it would really stink to be dealing with an issue that is causing infertility.

I don't think there's any point about worrying about anything yet...worrying isn't good for you!

Perhaps if you're concerned, you could visit a gyno and explain the whole situation just like you did here. They could order more tests to investigate. But unless you're trying to conceive and it's not being successful, which you say you're not, then I suppose there's not much you can do right now. But good luck anyway.

Don't waste time Fez (true one)!
Have a prompt appointment with your OB/GYN, that's better.
A medical diagnosis needs physical examinations, X rays and lab blood findings.
Your uterine chamber, ovarian and diencéphalic axe must be checked , If no pregnancy occurs, your husband has to be examinated too :spermogram, Huhner test ...etc.
I'm waiting another question on your future pregnancy "In chaa Allah"

You should check with your OB if you haven't conceived within 6 months.

if your period is irregular it could be your thyroid. It sounds more like u have hyperthyroidism. Here are some of the symtoms.

Go to the doc, and get your thyroid retested - it may have gotten worse.
