I seen these commercials for knifes that can cut a pineapple in mid-air and you can throw a tomato down on it and slice it in half. Do people really want knifes this sharp? What does everyone think?

Yeah. Then they show the guy taking a huge chunk of frozen meat and cutting it. First of all why not cut it before you freeze it and when would it really be usefull?

yeah, i have one of those sharp knives and i accidentally cut my finger the other day. it wouldn't stop bleeding it was so bad. my finger still hurts. as for a knife being able to cut a pineapple in half, i could care less. just want it to be sharp enough to cut food. nothing too sharp.

I want mine very sharp. A dull knife is much more dangerous than a sharp knife. Why? Because you're using a lot more effort with the dull one, increasing the chances that it will slip off what you're cutting, ang cut you.

Very sharp. But keep the blade covered, when I get upset, I tend to head towards the kitchen drawer right away.

Nah, just kidding.

Yes

The sharper the knife the less chance there is of cutting yourself because of it slipping.

OK if it does cut it will cut deeper, but will also cut cleaner so heal faster and better

I need one with a serrated edge on one side, and a clear, sharp, smooth edge on the other. I have a lot of carvings to do tonight

I wouldn't want one that sharp. I'd probably end up cutting myself on accident.
