Ok, one player has to sink the solid coloured balls, the other player tries to sink the striped balls.

Neither player is allowed to sink the black ball until all of that players balls are sunk.

If you take a shot and miss all the balls, you lose your turn and the other player gets two shots.

That's basically it =)
